FAMILY ALLOWANCES

You have at least two dependent children under the age of 20 years.

You are entitled to family allowances, whatever your family situation and your income.

The amount

Amounts valid until 31/12/11

You will receive each month:

• if you have 2 children € 125.78
• if you have 3 children € 286.94
• add, per child in addition to € 161.17

In addition to family allowances, for your children over the age of 11 and 16, you will receive an increase, the amount is:

• € 35.38 per child from 11 to 16 years
• € 62.90 per child over 16 years.

For children born after April 30, 1997, you will not get these two increases and you will receive an increase of € 62.90 from the month following their ^14th birthday.

Be careful if you only have two dependent children, you will not increase for the eldest.

Benefits are payable from the calendar month following the birth or receipt of 2 ^nd child. Their payment ceases in the month when the conditions are not met.

Approaches

You do not claim to be made.

Family allowances will be paid automatically.

The lump-sum

• one of your children must be 20 years old and live in your home
• and you must have received family allowances for the children at least 3 months before his 20 ^th birthday.

If you qualify, you will receive an allocation of fixed monthly amount of € 79.54 until 21 months preceding the ^anniversary of the child.

The lump sum allowance will be paid automatically.

Attention if the child works must not earn more than € 836.55 a month.

Child (ren) in alternating residence

Separated or divorced parents, if you have one or more children in alternate residence, you can opt to share the child allowance.

By mutual agreement, so you can

• designate one or both parents to be the beneficiary for any benefits,
• either choose the sharing of family allowances and designate a beneficiary for other benefits.

The choice is made for one year minimum.

Failing agreement between the two parents

A share of family allowance is paid to each parent. Other benefits are maintained at the parent who already receives.
